    So, jetzt habe ich das Android Auto/ Apple Carplay Update auch erfolgreich auf meinem System drauf.

    Läuft SUPER!:love:

    Hier noch eine Anleitung wie man das Update aufspielt.




    Was wird benötigt?


    3 USB Sticks

    3 Zip Dateien


    Das sind die 3 Zip Dateien.

    Aktuell kann ich hier leider keine Links zum Download einfügen.




    USB Sticks vorbereiten:


    Alle 3 USB Sticks unter Windows im Format FAT32 formatieren


    USB Stick 1: Die Zip Datei Harman_Intervention_Script in den Root des USB Sticks entpacken

    USB Stick 2: Die Zip Datei Full_upgrade_package_Harman_Panasonic_17MM in den Root des USB Sticks entpacken

    USB Stick 3: Die Zip Datei Full_upgrade_package_DTEN in den Root des USB Sticks entpacken

    Update im Fahrzeug:


    01. Fahrzeug starten

    02. Warten bis die Karten am Display angezeigt werden

    03. USB Stick 1 einstecken

    04. Das Update startet automatisch (kleines schwarzes Fenster)

    05. Bitte warten bis das System einen Neustart fordert

    Sobald das System einen Neustart fordert, Motor ausschalten und 1 Minute warten

    Der USB Stick 1 bleibt weiterhin angesteckt

    06. Fahrzeug starten

    07. Das Update startet automatisch (kleines schwarzes Fenster)

    08. Bitte warten bis im schwarzen Fenster folgendes steht:

          Status Done, Remove Current USB Stick Plug in Kwi File and initiate Software Update

    09. USB Stick 1 abstecken

    10. Das Fahrzeug NICHT ausschalten

    11. USB Stick 2 einstecken

    12. Setup Taste drücken -> Allgemein -> Softwareaktualisierung auswählen ->

    Software aktualisieren -> OK -> Stimme zu

    13. Ein weißes Fenster öffnet sich mit folgendem Text:

          Die neue Software ist 1502 MB groß. Softwareaktualisierung starten?

    14. Auf „Ja“ klicken

    15. Jetzt wird dir MCU aktualisiert (Dauert ca. 15 Minuten)

    16. Bitte warten bis das System einen Neustart fordert

    17. Fahrzeug ausschalten und 1 Minute warten

    18. Fahrzeug einschalten -> Allgemein -> Softwareaktualisierung

    19. Version überprüfen. Die Version der MCU sollte von F00 auf F10 geändert worden sein.

    20. USB Stick 2 entfernen

    21. Fahrzeug ausschalten

    22. USB Stick 3 einstecken

    23. Fahrzeug starten

    24. Das Update startet automatisch. Während dem Update startet das Gerät mehrmals neu

    Bitte während dem gesamten Update das Fahrzeug nicht ausschalten

    Der USB Stick darf auf keinen Fall rausgezogen werden

    Das Update dauert ca. 40-50 Minuten

    25. Warten bis das Update abgeschlossen ist. Dies erkennt man am blauen Bildschirm auf

    der linken Seite.

    26. USB Stick 3 entfernen

    27. Fahrzeug ausschalten und 1 Minute warten

    28. Fahrzeug einschalten

    29. Einstellungen -> Sprache -> Deutsch

    30. Einstellungen -> Uhrzeit -> Die Zeitzone bitte auf Central Europe einstellen

    31. Fertig

    Hello Franky,


    I took the hashset of the USB1 pendrive's content before and after the upgrade, and I can confirm that no files are written to the pendrive itself.


    I assume that when the script "intervention_script.sh" is run the first time, it saves data internally to the device; and when it is run the second time, it completes the process restoring what needs to be restored.

Consider that MyT app instructed me to 'create a new car' in order to register the new device " HARMANMM19RETROTOY " created with the fourth step (inserting USB1 after USB3), so I was forced in any case to delete the old car profile and create a new one. Moreover, while the manual process proved to be a 'hit or miss' affair, that fourth step worked like a charm at the first attempt.


    By completing the upgrade process with that fourth step, you end with having a new device called " HARMANMM19RETROTOY" and a further modified device ID number.

    denke auch dass diese der "richtige" Weg ist; jetzt nochmal USB 1 bei mir anzustöpseln kann halt auch schief gehen.. bzw. ich bin mir nicht sicher ob das dann noch klappt... bevor es mir etwas zerschießt lasse ich es lieber so... es hat ja alles funktioniert und die Bezeichnung "ToyotaTouch2Plus" stimmt ja auch...

    Updates hat er alles gefressen danach...


    ...zumal ich eben festgestellt habe, dass ich USB 1 schon wieder formatiert habe :saint::D

    In my case, device ID went from *11 to *12, and then from *12 to *13 with the 4th step.

    Now I have a "HARMANMM19RETROTOY" as device name, while before the 4th step it was just blank.

    Based on what I can read around, your case is a very fortunate one. You did something in the right order that made a clean outcome possible. But the vast majority of us ended with error messages so... I agree with you: don't touch it if it already works. But if it doesn't work, step 4. (USB1 again) is the cure.
